Voting set to begin in The Post’s Greatest on the Gridiron tournament

Published 7:30 am Friday, July 3, 2020

It’s time to pick the G.O.A.T.

The Vicksburg Post’s sports staff has assembled 32 of the best high school football teams in Warren County history — from the 1930s all the way to the 2010s — into a winner-take-all bracket where our readers will pick the Greatest of All-Time.

Breakdowns of the 16 first-round matchups are in today’s section, and will be rolled out this weekend online at vicksburgpost.com. Four matchups per day will open for voting Friday beginning at 9 a.m., and will be posted throughout the day.

Readers can vote online for the winners of each game, or clip out the bracket in this edition, enter their picks, and mail them or drop them off at our office at 1106 Washington St.

Only first-round votes will be counted from submitted brackets this round.

Voting for the first-round games ends at noon on Thursday, July 9. The winners will advance to the second round, and voting for those matchups will begin next weekend.

Let the games begin!
