MAIS fishing tournament
The Mid-South Association of Independent Schools is now conducting its July Slam Fishing Tournament through July 31.

The tournament is open to all students at MAIS member schools, and there is a $10 entry fee. It is a virtual tournament, where anglers fish at their own pace and locations throughout July and submit results through the Fishing Chaos app. The app is available at the Apple App Store. Google Play Store, or at app.fishingchaos.com.

Fishermen may submit catches of bass, freshwater catfish or bream. Prizes will be awarded for the lunker fish of each species and aggregate length of the five largest fish per angler. The fish must be fresh and visibly alive when photographed for submission, and participants are encouraged to practice catch, photo and release.

All fishermen must also follow applicable fish and game laws in their area, as well as local and state COVID-19 guidelines.

Complete rules are available on the app’s web site, or at MSAIS.org.
