Vicksburg High’s Memorial Stadium, which is nearly 70 years old, is undergoing a multi-year renovation project. The visitors’ side stands and scoreboard have been removed. New stands are being built, and a new, modern video board is scheduled to be installed early next week.
The construction is expected to continue into the 2020 football season that begins in September, and could force Vicksburg High to play some home games at Warren Central. Vicksburg’s season opener is vs. Warren Central, across town at Viking Stadium, on Sept. 4.
