North Leslie Scallions, 92 of Vicksburg, left this world to join a host of family and friends in the presence of our Lord on Aug. 10, 2020.

Born March 29, 1928, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, June (Champion); parents, Raymond and Ida Mae.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda Burchfield (Eddie) and Melissa Rexroad (Denny); and son, Danny (Debbie).

Les was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Navy. After discharging from the Navy, Les went to school on his GI Bill and became a watchmaker. He later worked for Bush Jewelers, and years later he opened Scallions Jewelers in Vicksburg.

The family will hold a private graveside ceremony. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
