They say dogs are a man’s best friend. This may be true, but pets — beloved members of the family — come in all types, sizes, colors and breeds.

The Vicksburg Living is inviting local residents to feature their pets and what they mean to their families in the upcoming September/October edition of the magazine.

To participate, and have you and your pet’s photograph appear in one of the state’s premier lifestyles magazine, email it — along with the names of those in the photograph and a few words about what your pet means to you — to tim.reeves@vicksburgpost.com.

The deadline to submit the photograph is Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m.
