Funeral services for Jannie Mae Caldwell-Dishmon will be Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, in the Chapel of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. A. L. Hines officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, from 6 to 7 p.m. with social guidelines being observed and facial coverings must be worn.

Jannie M. Dishmon passed away Friday, Aug. 21, 2020, at Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 72. She was a retired caseworker for the Department of Human Services and was a member of the King David No. 1 M.B. Church where she was the Sunday School Superintendent and in the Women’s Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonas and Helen Ruth Patterson Caldwell Sr.; her brother, Clarence Caldwell; her sisters, Rose Ethel Caldwell Shelby, Rosa Lee Miller, Katie Mae Cooksey and Pattie Rebecca Pierce.

She is survived by her brother Jonas ( Margaret) Caldwell of Vicksburg; her four sisters, Minnie M. Nelson of Buffalo, N.Y., Helen B. Caldwell of Vicksburg, Dan Ethel (Freddie) Lathan of Maryville, Ind. and Victoria Thomas of Vicksburg.
