According to sheriff’s office reports, an off-duty Vicksburg police officer saw the truck taking the Flowers exit on Interstate 20 about 1 p.m. He followed it to the truck stop and called Vicksburg-Warren 911 with the information.

About 10 minutes later, sheriff’s deputies arrived at Love’s, found the truck in the parking lot, took Thomas into custody and notified Vicksburg police investigators.
