How They Did: Vicksburg’s college and NFL players

A recap of how players from the Vicksburg area did in college football and NFL games over the weekend:

• Ole Miss offensive lineman Ben Brown (St. Aloysius) started at center in a 51-35 loss to No. 5 Florida. It was Brown’s 25th consecutive start on the Rebels’ offensive line.

• Tulane linebacker Nick Anderson (Vicksburg High) had eight total tackles, including one for loss, in a 66-24 win over Southern Miss.

• Southern Miss wide receiver Demarcus Jones (Warren Central) caught a team-high 11 passes for 77 yards in the loss to Tulane. He also had 11 rushing yards.

• Tennessee Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) started and had four solo tackles and two pass defenses in a 31-30 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
