Funeral services for Wade Carter Jr. are to be held on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. in the Vicksburg City Auditorium. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 23 in the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. with social guidelines strictly observed and facial coverings are required while inside.

Carter passed away on Oct. 9 at University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was 31. He was a student at Grantham University and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his three sons, D ‘Wade Carter, Tyler Wade Williams and Larry Carter all of Vicksburg; his daughter, Kae’loni Carter of Vicksburg; his mother, Shelia Ann Carter of Vicksburg; and his two sisters, Shebba Carter and Dannisha Blemfield both of Vicksburg.
