Bill Phillips, 77, died Oct. 14, in Mobile, Ala.

He was a graduate of H.V.Cooper High School in Vicksburg and the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. He began his naval career in Pensacola as a Naval Aviator and received his wings in 1967. He worked for Ingersoll-Rand for 28 years where he achieved the position of No. 1 salesman in the nation.

Bill is survived by his wife, Donna; his sons, Brent and David; his sister, Susan Phillips Hadad (Trip); nieces, Laurin Hadad Jones and Holley Hadad Hood; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Inurnment will be at the United States Naval Academy.
