Former Warren Central football player Alexander Shaw transferred to Mississippi State during the offseason.

Shaw played three seasons at Jackson State, the last in the spring 2020 COVID-shifted season. In 13 total games, the cornerback had 33 tackles, two forced fumbles and one interception.
