Vicksburg native Brian Oakes has been hired as the athletics director at Dyersburg State Community College in Tennessee.

Oakes has previously been the athletics director at Northwest Mississippi Community College, worked as an assistant football coach and in administration at Hinds CC, and been the head football coach at Stone High School.
