The Medgar and Angela Scott Foundation partnered with the NAACP, Alpha Fraternity, the Vicksburg Police Department and other agencies to hold a “Restore Your Vote” event at the Jackson Street Community Center. The Foundation also held an informational session for senior citizens, concerning voting laws.

Speakers for the informational session were the Circuit Clerk’s Office employees and Sheriff Martin Pace discussed the importance of knowing the proper process and procedures for applying for expungements.

The Foundation also held a “Get Out to Vote” event at Triumph Church and Faith Christian Center.

The Foundation also participated in the “Meet the Candidates Forum” where participants could meet prospective candidates and hear from them regarding their platforms.
