Funeral services for Mary L. Moore, a Vicksburg resident, are to be held on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

The Rev. Dr. Reginald Anderson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 1, from 6 to 7 p.m.

She passed away on Nov. 25, 2023,  in Evans GA, following a brief illness. She was 72.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Young Sr.; her mother Nancy Hall; her son, Tricote Mandell Moore; and a grandchild.

She is survived by her son, Antonio Moore of Killeen, TX; four daughters, Michell Wilson of Evans, GA, Katherina Moore and Ponika Moore of Vicksburg and Cassandra Moore of Killeen, TX;  a brother Walter Young Jr of Vicksburg; a sister, Alma Jean Hilton of Country Club Hills, IL; 14 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
