Jackson made two 3-pointers and finished with 14 points in a 68-66 victory over Choctaw Central on Nov. 25. That win improved the Gators’ record to 6-1, and they added a seventh consecutive win on Tuesday by beating Northwest Rankin 64-54. Jackson had six points in that game.

Congratulations to Jaylin and the other nominees, and thank you to our readers for voting.

The nominees for the Athlete of the Week award are announced each Sunday, and voting is open until midnight Tuesday. Links to the poll will be posted on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages, as well as vicksburgpost.com.
