Christmas parade of lights to roll Saturday

Vicksburg continues to get in the spirit of the Christmas Season when the Christmas Parade of Lights rolls Saturday at 5 p.m.

Timmie Fedell, owner of Michel’s Record Shop, is grand marshal. The parade theme is “Merry Melodies.”

Vicksburg Main Street Executive Director Kim Hopkins said 47 organizations will be in the parade, which forms on Belmont Street and move north along Washington Street to Jackson Street.

“We want to bring the family, enjoy the lights and the music and kickoff the Christmas Season,” Hopkins said.
