County officials to be sworn in Tuesday

Incoming Warren County officials will take their oaths of office Tuesday in a 10 a.m. ceremony in the Chancery Courtroom on the third floor of the Warren County Courthouse.

Chancery Judge Vicki Barnes is expected to swear in the county officials with Circuit Judge M. James Chaney giving the oath of office to the three county officials associated with the circuit court — Circuit Clerk Jan Daigre, District Attorney Ricky Smith and County Prosecutor Christopher Green.

Daigre, Smith and Green will be sworn in at 10 a.m. in the circuit courtroom on the second floor of the courthouse, Daigre said.

“Judge Barnes will have the full plate; we usually have between 10 and 14 people sworn in by her,” Chancery Clerk Donna Hardy said, adding some officials choose to have someone else swear them in.

County officials scheduled to take their oaths Tuesday include:

• Incoming Chancery Clerk Beverly Johnson.

• Sheriff Martin Pace.

• Tax Assessor Ben Luckett.

• Tax Collector Amanda Battles.

• Coroner Doug Huskey.

• Warren County supervisors Ed Herring, District 1; William Banks Jr., District 2; Shaun Jackson, District 3; John Carlisle, District 4; and Kelle Barfield, District 5.

• Justice Court Judges James Jefferson, Randy Lewis and Jeff Crevitt, and Constables Glenn McKay, Troy Kimble and John Higgins.

• Election commissioners Sara Dionne and Bobbie Bingham Morrow.
