The Vicksburg Police Department has confirmed that an 18-year-old male was found shot in the left leg shortly after 7 p.m. Friday on Hope Street, near Baldwin Ferry Road intersection and the Madison Glen Apartments.

The victim, an African American male, was taken to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment.
