Frances Hart Nielsen, 90, of Athens, Tenn., passed away Thurs.,, Dec. 21, at her residence. She was a native of Vicksburg and a longtime resident of McMinn County, Tenn.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Athens, Tenn. She was a nurse until her retirement.

She was the daughter of the late William J. and Fannie Bliss Hart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence C. Nielsen.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kathi and Harold (Chuck) Jackson; two grandchildren and spouses, Kimberly and Dub Wigley and Jason and Heather Jackson; and two great-grandchildren, Madyson Wigley and Sean Jackson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wed., Dec. 27, at Cedar Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Arwood officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home and will go in procession to the cemetery.
