A third home in Warren County – and second in Vicksburg – has been destroyed by fire in a week’s time after an overnight blaze on East Avenue.

Vicksburg Fire Chief Derrick Stamps said the call came in to the Vicksburg Fire Department at 5:24 a.m. Saturday for a house fire at home located at 1633 East Avenue.

Stamps said no one was home at the time of the fire, but the structure was a complete loss. He said the fire is believed to have started with a clothes dryer.
