Vicksburg native Rory Johnson has been hired as the defensive coordinator for the Saarland Hurricanes of the German Football League.

The former Vicksburg High and Ole Miss linebacker played 12 seasons in the GFL from 2010-22, including 11 for the Berlin Rebels, and totaled 68 sacks in his career. He spent the 2023 season as the Rebels’ linebackers coach.
