The Vicksburg Warren School District announced Sunday it would not hold classes Tuesday, January 16.

In a statement released via their Facebook page, the district said “All VWSD schools and offices will be closed Tuesday, January 16 due to the forecasted winter weather. School officials have met with Warren County Emergency Management, and weather conditions will potentially impact safe travel.

All extracurricular activities for Monday and Tuesday are canceled. We will provide further updates as they are available on our website and all social media platforms. A decision about Wednesday, January 17 will be made by 2:00 Tuesday afternoon. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Please stay weather aware, and stay warm.”
