The snow is officially falling in Warren County, as local residents have begun reporting winter precipitation in various parts of Vicksburg.

According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, Warren County remains under a winter weather advisory until 6 a.m. Tuesday that includes an elevated winter weather threat, meaning a high likelihood of sleet and freezing rain. Hazardous roadways, as well as  downed trees and power lines, are also a possibility local officials are warning residents to guard against.
