The 37th annual community-wide memorial birthday celebration honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and scheduled for tonight (Mon., Jan. 15) has been postponed due to deteriorating winter weather conditions.

Originally scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Vicksburg City Auditorium, officials with The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Memorial Committee said the event will be rescheduled and information will be made public once a new date has been confirmed.

The 2024 event will celebrate the 95th birthday of Dr. King. This event is free and open to the public; for more information, call 601-630-5847.
