Merit Health River Region clinics and outpatient services have joined the growing list of offices and services closed or unavailable today (Tues., Jan. 16) due to inclement weather conditions.

“The safety of our patients, staff, and community is our primary concern,” Merit Health officials said in a statement. “We made this decision after carefully monitoring the weather forecasts and consulting with local emergency services.

“We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we apologize for any disruption this may cause to your healthcare plans. All appointments scheduled for January 16 will be rescheduled as soon as possible. Our team will reach out to affected patients to arrange for new appointment times.”

Officials said they will continue to monitor the weather and announce updates accordingly.
