Henrietta was a Renaissance woman.

She learned and mastered innumerable endeavors throughout her lifetime.

She tried, tackled and mastered just about anything from traditional homemaking skills like cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting and even tatting; gardening, canning and upholstery, to fishing, archery, hunting and tanning hides; to butchering and plate-making for the government during WWII.

She never met an animal she couldn’t cook (except a possum).

After retirement, Mama and Papa bought a motor home and hit the road.

They loved their extensive travels and adventures from Florida to Alaska and many points in between.

Visitation will be held Mon., Jan. 22, from 1 until 3 p.m., with service to follow at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Eagle Lake Methodist Church Building Fund, 222 Belle Island Drive, Vicksburg, MS 39183.
