Donna Smith, 79, passed away at her residence in Hattiesburg Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Salvation Army, 530 Mission 66, Vicksburg.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Green Lawn Cemetery, 191 US Hwy 80, Vicksburg.

Donna retired from Tyson Foods after many years of service.

In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, cross stitching, cooking and shopping flea markets. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Tommy Gray, Jimmy Gray; her parents, Eugene and Eula Mae Chafton; and two sisters, Joni Marie Chafton McGarrah, Karen Lucille Chafton.

She is survived by her husband, Allen R. Smith of Hattiesburg; a sister, Bettye Rose (Rick) Walker of Greenville; a brother, Larry (Cathy) Chafton of Leesburg, Fla.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Donna will be from 10 until 11 a.m. at the Salvation Army, 530 Mission 66, Saturday, Feb. 10.
