Funeral services for Rosie Lee Hale Kenney are to be held Saturday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. in the Word of Faith Church with the Rev. Reginald L. Walker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H Jefferson Funeral Home.
Rosie Lee Hale Kenney passed away Monday, Jan. 22, in Webster, Texas following a brief illness. She was 82.
She worked in the Magnolia Restaurant and the Vicksburg Hospital Cafeteria, where she was promoted to head chef of the dietary department.
She retired after 36 years of service. She also operated her own catering business.
She also enjoyed singing, listening to music, dancing and socializing with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Estella Hale; husband, Paul Kenney Jr.; brother, Johnnie Mack Hale; daughter, Mary Kenney Pierce; grandson, Jerome Kenny; and great-grandson, Nasir Harmon.
She is survived by her son, Paul Kenney III of Katy, Texas; daughter, Chevonne Kenney of League City, Texas; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Louise Ester of Vicksburg, Bessie Anderson and Venia Mae Birden, both of Epps, La., Bobbie Turner, Edna Hale and Francine Ruchel, all of Las Vegas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
