Empower YOUniversity has incorporated community leaders to assist in teaching the students about topics such as social media etiquette and how to be a good student.

Other topics taught include financial literacy, personal hygiene and how to dress for job interviews.

She said she wants to expand and be able to assist with items as simple as paper, pencils and even prom dresses.
