Olivia Gleese James (Peaches)

Olivia Gleese James (Peaches) was born June 23, 1945, to Johnnie and Charlie Mae Gleese Sr. in the Kings Community of Vicksburg.

She entered into eternal rest Friday, March 8, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Willie Lee James Sr., and her parents.

The homegoing celebration for Olivia Gleese James will be held at Greater Rose Hill Church on 683 Stenson Road in Vicksburg, Saturday, March 16,  at ll a.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory seven children: Angela James, Willie (Minnie) James Jr., Yolanda (Derek) Willis, Tammy (Kennith) Watts Sr., of Vicksburg, Arlene (Mark) Witter Sr., of Clarksville Tenn., Malcolm (Natasha) James Sr., of Druham N.C., and Kendell (Angel) James of Biloxi; 24 grandchildren, Brady (Jennifer), Christopher, Dominique, Antonio, Dessiah, Melanie, Danielle, Mark Jr., Jaidyn, Antonio, Taylor (Rajheem), Jereka, Kennith Jr., Robin, Malcolm, Marcus, Michaiah, Kendell Jr., Kiera, Bardashia, Keyonce, and Kemora; four great grandchildren, Ava, Marley, the late Messiah and Raegan; six sisters, Lula (late James) Cross, late Mattie (late Clyde) Harris Sr., Earlean (late Ollie) Wesley, Linda (Rhodell), Thelma (Joseph) Vann, Sheryl (late Cornelius) Walker; two brothers, Johnnie (Iola) Gleese Jr., Jerrad Gleese; sister in law, Rosie Lee Wilson; her extended family, Henry Smith, Robert and Linda Dotson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends may visit the family at 214 Kendra Drive in Vicksburg. Funeral arrangements are incomplete with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.
