Brenda Elaine Price Taylor

Brenda Elaine Price Taylor passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27. She was born Dec. 10, 1958, to the late Jim and Azalene Price.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Alan and Alice Neal of Leland; brothers, Eugene Price, James L. Price, and Bobby Price; sister, Mary Price Lewis; and niece, Debra Price Sweet.

Brenda attended Vicksburg High School and graduated with the class of 1976. She graduated at the top of her class. She attended Alcorn State and Mississippi State University.

After moving to Chicago, she enrolled in the University of Illinois, where she received a master’s degree in nursing. Brenda truly believed in education and learning.

She was a teacher at Benito Juarez High School, where she taught tenth grade science. She retired from teaching in 2022.

She leaves behind one daughter, Emiyah Price, who will graduate with the class of 2024. She also leaves behind her sister, Azalene Price of Chicago, and three brothers, Johnny L. Price of Chicago, Charles E. Price, and Eddie Ray Price of Vicksburg, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

There will be no funeral for Brenda in Vicksburg.
