The gates of Heaven opened when Minnie Marcel Peyton Newbegin entered her Heavenly Home Sunday, March 10, at the tender age of 67.

Minnie was born May 20, 1956, the daughter of Henry Houston Peyton Sr. and Minnie Dora Whitaker Peyton.

Minnie had a lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She attained that dream and served as a registered nurse for more than 25 years.

She greatly loved her grandchildren and her dog Lacey. She loved the Lord and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Megan Marie Newbegin; brother, Darryl Peyton; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Bass and Jerry Esser.

She is survived by her son, Micky Newbegin (Gisela) and daughter Robyn Mackey (Aaron); brothers, Henry Peyton (Debbie), Marvin Cox (Carrie Sue), Alfred Peyton (Anne); sisters, Cherry Cox Wyatt (Chuck), Mary Parks (Mike), Sandra Doyle (Alan), Sarah Bass, and Mary Esser; grandchildren, Patrick Newbegin, Ayden Mackey, Connor Mackey, Felipe; nieces, nephews, and many other family members.
