Doubles and depth led Porter’s Chapel Academy’s tennis team to its second district victory of the season on Thursday.

The Eagles lost three singles matches, but swept five doubles points as the defeated River Oaks 6-3.

Depth was a key for the Eagles. They were able to fill all nine positions on the card, which allowed them to pick up three points via forfeit when River Oaks could not do the same.

In No. 1 boys’ doubles, Thomas Azlin and Henry Slayton topped Caden Vaneburg and Logan Laforge 6-0, 6-0.
And in No. 2 boys’ doubles, Corbin Bass and John McGee had no trouble in beating Gage Gilliams and Kaden Ramer 6-0, 6-0.
