The Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) has posted a list of arrests made in March 2024 as part of what Chief of Police Penny Jones called a “commitment to transparency.”

“We are pleased to provide the public with our monthly arrest report,” Jones posted on social media Monday, along with a link to a list of those arrested in March 2024, along with mug shots and charges. “This report offers insight into law enforcement activities within our community, promoting open communication and trust between the police department and residents.”

Although arrest records are publicly available, VPD has not voluntarily posted them in the past for public consumption.

“We believe that sharing this information fosters greater understanding and collaboration, ultimately contributing to a safer and more informed community,” Jones said in Monday’s post.
