Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) is searching for a suspect they say burglarized a convenience store on Halls Ferry Road in the early morning hours Friday.

VPD officials said officers responded to an alarm at the Chevron station at 3114 Halls Ferry Road at 4:23 a.m. and found glass from the front door shattered and items scattered on the floor behind the counter.

VPD said video surveillance footage revealed a Black male wearing a light colored hoodie and gray and white pants fled the scene in a large white sedan.

The case remains under investigation and VPD asks that anyone with any information regarding the crime contact the department at 601-636-2511.
