The Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) has identified “persons of interest” in a shooting that took place Sunday on Elizabeth Circle.

According to information released Monday morning, officers responded to a call of shots fired at 5:09 p.m. and were told by witnesses on the scene three Black males had been firing weapons at another Black male in an open area behind the homes located on the street.

VPD officials said all suspects reportedly fled on foot prior to the officers’ arrival. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Although persons of interest have been identified, no arrests have been made and VPD said anyone with any information regarding the shooting is encouraged to call the department at 601-636-2511.
