Residents in Tallulah, La. are completely without water, city officials say, as crews work to repair a broken water pump.
“A low service pump, previously repaired, is not operational,” officials said in a statement. “The city will be under a boil alert when water is re-established.”
While the city did not give a timeline for when residents could expect the pump repairs to be complete, officials said water customers should plan to boil water rapidly for two minutes prior to use once water service is restored.
“The city will continue updating during this water crisis,” officials said.
