A Vicksburg man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting on Elizabeth Circle earlier this week.

Officials with Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) said 17-year-old Jaylen Demarcus Moore was taken into custody Thursday and charged with aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit a crime.

VPD initially responded to a call of shots fired Sunday at 5:09 p.m. in the Elizabeth Circle area, where witnesses said three Black males shot at another Black male in an open area behind homes located on the street.
