Voting is now open in The Vicksburg Post’s Athlete of the Week contest.
This week’s nominees are tennis players Kennedy Mullins (Vicksburg) and Hendrix Eldridge (St. Aloysius); and baseball players Cade Fairley (Warren Central) and Luke Moberley (Tallulah Academy). Voting is open until midnight Tuesday, and you can vote as many times as you want until the deadline.

Kennedy Mullins, a junior with Vicksburg High’s tennis team, won the MHSAA Region 2-6A girls’ singles championship on April 12. Mullins only dropped one game in two matches and advanced to the Class 6A tournament.
Cade Fairley, a senior outfielder with Warren Central’s baseball team, went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBIs in two games as the Vikings swept a crucial MHSAA Region 2-6A series with Ridgeland on April 12 and 13.
Hendrix Eldridge, a tennis player for St. Aloysius. won the MAIS District 4-5A girls’ singles championship on April 10. Eldridge only lost one game in two matches as she advanced to the Class 5A South State tournament.
Luke Moberley, an eighth-grader with Tallulah Academy’s baseball team, went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored in a 9-2 win over Wilkinson County Christian on April 9.
Voting is open until midnight Tuesday, and you can vote as many times as you want until the deadline. The winner will be announced Wednesday on vicksburgpost.com and then be featured in our Friday print edition.
