Inez Horger Ehrgott passed away Wednesday, April 17. She was 80 years old. She was born in Greenville, S.C. on Sept. 18, 1943, to Edgar Olin Horger Jr. and Frances Durant Jordan Horger.

She spent 31 years as a teacher at Warren Central High School. She earned her BA at Brenau College in Gainesville, Ga. and her MA in English at Mississippi State University.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Qua Ehrgott; parents, Edgar Olin Horger Jr. and Frances Durant Jordan Horger; and siblings, Edgar Olin Horger III, and Frank Frances Jordan Horger.

She is survived by her children, Stacy Brock (Kenny), John Ehrgott Jr. (Kristy), Scot Ehrgott (Anna); sister, Claire Gifford Horger (Allen); grandchildren, Kalie Bellinger, Justin Ehrgott, Jaleigh Ehrgott, Kinsey Bellinger, John Ellis Ehrgott, Eva Jean Ehrgott, Sam Brock, and John Kendall Brock.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Garden Cemetery.
