Probation violation warrant leads to drug arrest for Vicksburg man

Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) officers found more than just their suspect when they located 37-year-old John Ross, of Vicksburg, Friday.

Ross, who was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service on a federal probation violation warrant, was located by VPD and marshals and found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Ross appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court Tuesday. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine. Judge Angela Carpenter bound him over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $50,000 bond.
