Officers with Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) quickly located a car reported as stolen Sunday and say the case remains under investigation.

According to VPD, officers responded to the 1500 block of Chambers Street at approximately 1:09 p.m. for a call for service in reference to a stolen Hyundai Elantra.

The vehicle was located only hours later, at 5:51 p.m., in the 1300 block of Bay Street. 

While no arrests have been made, VPD said the case remains under investigation.
