Vicksburg High track athlete McKenzie Edmond won the girls’ high jump and the 4×400 meter relay, and finished second in the 4×100 meter relay at the MHSAA Region 2-6A meet on April 19.

Edmond cleared 4 feet, 10 inches in the high jump. She teamed with Midori Allen, Shaniyah Walker and Jakeyla Curry to win the 4×400 relay in 4:18.53, and with To’nia Taylor, Jakayla Brooks and Amiya Hall to finish second in the 4×100 with a time of 51.57 seconds.

Edmond qualified for the MHSAA Class 6A North State meet in all three events. The North State meet is April 27 at Center Hill High School.
