A public forum meant to allow voters in the special election for Vicksburg’s Ward 1 alderman to meet the ten candidates on the ballot has been scheduled for Thursday, May 2.

The forum, scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. at the Warren County Courthouse, is coordinated by the Vicksburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.,the First Mississippi Chapter of Blacks in Government (BIG), the Vicksburg Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Mu Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
