Michael Gerard Johnson passed away unexpectedly at his Woodbridge, Va., residence Thursday, April 25, at age 60.

Born on August 20, 1963, in Vicksburg, he was cherished as a son, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Willie Lee and Annie Lee Johnson; his grandparents, William “Bo-Bo” Franklin and Lillie Mae Reese; and his nephew, James Merry.

Michael’s memory will be cherished by his daughter, Latrice Grace; granddaughters, Jamia and Jordan; his loyal companion of 17 years, Carole Washington; stepchildren, Marvin and Nikki; and siblings, Ruby L. Franklin, Lillie Ann Trotter, Willie Lee Johnson Jr., Sandra Johnson, and Precious Johnson. He will be deeply missed by his niece, Amii Johnson, and nephews, Antony Johnson, Jeffery Trotter, and Brandon Merry.

Services will be held Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m. at Clover Valley M.B. Church, with the Rev. Samuel L. Jones delivering the message.Visitation will be Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow the service at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg.

Century Funeral Home (Yazoo City) will oversee the interment.
