The Mississippi Bombers 11UA baseball tournament team won the Grand Slam Turf Wars tournament championship in Flowood on May 4.

The Bombers finished with a perfect 4-0 record, including a 6-0 victory in the championship game.

Layne Grady pitched five innings of one-hit ball and had six strikeouts in the Bombers’ final victory.

The Bombers now have a 22-10 record for the spring and summer season and are ranked No. 1 in Mississippi in the 11UA age division. They have won two of their last three tournaments.

Team members are Cooper Alexander, Mickey Grayer, Cooper Chamblee, Caleb Moore, Shandell Lockridge, Nash Burney, Layne Grady, Dax Haas, Camden Towne, Mason Truly and CJ Smith. The coaches are Robert Burney, Quenton Truly and Dustin Chamblee.
