Michael James Knoblauch Smith

Michael James Knoblauch Smith, a Vicksburg resident, passed away April 29 following a brief illness. He was 68.

He was born October 27, 1955, to Blanche Smith and E. J. Knoblauch. He was an electrician by trade. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to spoil his nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by both his parents; his wife, Gail Smith; a brother-in-law, Elvin Wescot; and a sister-in-law, Anita Smith.

Michael leaves behind to cherish his memories his brothers John (Susie) Knoblauch, Brian Smith and Randal (Karen) Smith; his sisters, Patricia Westcott, Karen (David) Brickham and Vanessa (Robert) Craven; his nieces, Malana (Jeremy) Kirby, Danielle (Christopher) Delas, Kailyn Smith, Erica Brickham, Jessie Brickham, Kimberly Craven; and his nephews, Toby Wescott, Elvin Westcott, John Knoblauch Jr., and Robbie Craven; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and others.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, at the Elevate Church, 3527 Manor Drive.
