Funeral services for Joseph Lawrence Moore Jr. are to be held Wednesday, May 22, in the Ardis T. Williams Auditorium at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Casey D. Fisher officiating.

Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 21, in the funeral home from 5 until 7 p.m.

Moore, a Vicksburg resident, passed away Tuesday, May 14, in the Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was 46.

He was an independent truck owner-operator.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lawrence Moore Sr

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Moore of Vicksburg; his sons, Joseph Moore III and James Watkins, both of Vicksburg; his mother, Helen Sims of Jackson; his sister, Lawanda Jackson-Green of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
