The Vicksburg Warren School District (VWSD) announced Monday it has released students for summer vacation early due to air conditioning issues on the two campuses.

VWSD officials said Dana Road Elementary School and Vicksburg Intermediate School have each been released early.

“School officials have made the decision to release students for the remainder of the school year,” VWSD said in an online post. “We are currently working to resolve the issue.”

Other VWSD schools will end classes for the summer May 23.
