Jeffrey H. Jefferson ( 77 ) died in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 3, after a prolonged struggle with prostate cancer.
He was in hospice care in Pasadena, Calif.
Jeffrey was a product of the Vicksburg public school system and graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge.
After being a longtime resident of the Los Angeles’ Silverlake neighborhood, Jeffrey relocated to Maywood, Calif. in recent years.
He is predeceased by his parents, George L. Jefferson Sr. and Grace H. Jefferson.
Jeffrey is survived by his brother, George Lee Jefferson Jr. of Oceanside, Calif.; his sister, Grace Ellen Stoufer of Denver; and nephew, Ian Stoufer of Denver; James E. Jefferson Jr. of Vicksburg; as well as numerous other cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 5, at 11 a.m. graveside at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
